Griffel

Datenschutzerklärung

Stand: 31. August 2026

Griffel sammelt keine personenbezogenen Daten. Das Spiel führt keine Konten, zeigt keine Werbung, misst nichts und sendet keine Nutzungsdaten.

Alles, was beim Spielen entsteht – Profil, Statistik, Einstellungen, laufender Spielstand – bleibt auf deinem Gerät.

Lucas Fink
Neumayerstraße 13

Deutschland

Griffel collects no personal data. The game has no accounts, shows no ads, measures nothing and sends no usage data.

Everything the game creates – your profile, statistics, settings and current run – stays on your device.

The only thing Griffel ever sends out is unlocked achievements, and only if you play through Steam or Google Play Games.

1. Controller

The controller for the game Griffel under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Lucas Fink
Neumayerstraße 13
67433 Neustadt an der Weinstraße
Germany

Email: [email protected]

2. What is stored on your device

Griffel keeps its data in a file inside the app's own storage area. This data never leaves your device and the developer cannot see it.

ItemWhy
Profile nameSo several people can play separately on one device. You choose it freely – it does not have to be your name.
StatisticsRuns played, stages reached, dice rolled – and the achievements that follow from them.
Current runSo an interrupted run can continue.
SettingsLanguage, game speed, display, chosen dice set, whether you have seen the tutorial.

There is no identifier that makes you or your device recognisable: no advertising ID, no device ID, no cookies, no stored IP addresses.

Where the file lives

3. What the game sends out

If you play Griffel through a gaming platform, the game reports which achievement you unlocked – nothing more. The path is one-way: Griffel never reads anything back.

If none of these connections exists – no Steam, no Play services, not signed in – then nothing at all leaves your device. The game runs fully and without restriction; achievements are still tracked inside the game itself.

The transfer itself is handled by the platform, not by Griffel, and their privacy policies apply: Valve/Steam and Google.

4. No ads, no analytics, no network access

Griffel contains no advertising, no in-game purchases, no tracking, no analytics library and no automatic crash reporting.

The Android build has no internet permission (android.permission.INTERNET is explicitly removed from the manifest). The app cannot open a network connection on its own. It requests no other permissions either – no access to location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.

5. Purchase and delivery

Griffel is distributed through Steam and Google Play. Purchase, billing, accounts and delivery are handled by those platforms, which process their own data. The developer has no influence over this and no access to the data collected there. The Valve and Google policies linked above apply.

6. Legal basis

Because Griffel transmits no personal data to the controller and the controller processes none, no processing within the meaning of the GDPR arises in this respect. The data stored on your device is necessary to provide the game (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and stays there and nowhere else.

7. Deleting your data

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

In practice, however, there is nothing at the developer to disclose or erase: no data about you is held there. You can delete what is on your device yourself at any time (see section 7). For any questions, write to [email protected].

9. Children

Griffel is suitable for all ages and collects data from no one – children included. There is no chat, no user-generated content and no contact with other players.

10. Changes to this policy

If what Griffel stores or sends out changes, this page will be updated. The date at the top shows the current version.

11. Contact

Questions about privacy in Griffel: [email protected] – postal address in the legal notice.
